Crondall Village Facilities and Services
Crondall Parish hosts a wide variety of facilities and services. These include services operated by the Parish Council, District and County Council as well as commercial and voluntary /charity run services.
Parish Council Operated:
Hook Meadow, children’s play area (to be updated soon!), Tennis Court, Football Ground and the Burial Ground. Arrangements for use, conditions and fees are available from the Parish Clerk.
The Village Shop, 3 pubs (The Plume, the Hampshire Arms and The Horns), a Rolls Royce Dealership, 2 golf courses and a petanque ground, 2 children’s nurseries (Tiggletts and Stepping Stones), petrol station, osteopath, antiques sales, dog kennels, private hospital, independent retirement home, and a small industrial unit housing a variety of businesses. There are also many small businesses run from homes, including the very popular Travelling Bazar. Many advertise in the parish magazine (produced by the Parochial Church Council) and the Crondall Chronicles – the magazine of the Crondall Society.
The highly recommended primary school was awarded a “Outstanding” in all areas for its 2012 OFSTED report and is supported by local Governors and a thriving Crondall School Association.
Voluntary and Charities:
2 churches (All Saints CoE and The New Life Free Church), Church Rooms, Village Hall (which hosts many separate groups including dancers and martial artists), the 28th Odiham Scouts, Bowls Club, Cricket Club, Crondall Entertainers – Amateur Dramatics Club, WI, Crondall Bell Ringers, Crondall Events (who organise the annual fete, fireworks, party in the park and triathlon among other things) and Petanque club. Additionally, many informal social groups operate across the village.
The village has its own recycling point at the junction of Pankridge Street and Bowling Alley, where the No.30 bus also stops.
