Parish Amenities Consultation
Your Parish Council is seeking your views on future possible parish-wide projects.
The current approach to development across Hart includes some processes to allow Parishes to claim funds for local projects from developers. These are called “Section 106” (of the Local Government Act) and “Community Infrastructure Levy” (CIL) funds. In order to claim these the Parish needs a list of projects that has been consulted on with the residents. The principle is quite straight-forward, these projects are intended to offset some of the effects of development and improve parish amenities. The local consultation process helps to ensure a wide basis of support and consensus on priorities.
It’s very important that these suggestions are NOT tied to or dependant on a single development, but are designed to improve parish life. We will have the option to aggregate these developer contributions and mix them with Parish funds to enact projects.
Your ideas are particularly welcome as they relate to your experience. If you have an issue the chances are that others have too.
As a start the Parish Council has proposed a number of ideas based on our experience, knowledge and previous feedback from yourselves. These will be shown on a PowerPoint presentation during the consultation and can be accessed here: PC amenities presentation v1
The Amenities Questionnaire has been drafted to try and highlight specific areas, and we welcome responses from anyone in the Parish regardless of age (but just one each please!). Thank you for your response.
Responses can be:
- sent to the Parish Clerk firstname.lastname@example.org
- delivered to Brooklands, Pankridge Street
- brought to the Parish Consultation event 3-8pm Tues 14th July 2015 in the Church Rooms
The questions here are just to get ideas going. Please feel free to suggest other topics or ideas.
The Parish Council will collate and review the responses to generate a list to be formalised at its meeting on 27th July.
