Message from Crondall Parish Council relating to recent reports of vandalism and antisocial behaviour

Crondall Parish Council are aware that there have been increasing levels of vandalism and antisocial behaviour and would like to thank parishioners for keeping us in the loop and fully informed.

The Parish Council continues to liaise with our local PCSO Liz Wallace on any additional support and ideas they can offer.

We would once again remind parishioners to please report ALL incidents of crime, petty or otherwise, acts of vandalism and threatening behaviour to the Police.

It can be dispiriting when your report seemingly solicits no further action but by logging these incidents you are helping the Police to identify patterns and helping them build an overall picture. Patrols and further support are then direct in response to this data.

You can call 101 to report it OR if you do not want to speak to a person, you can report it quickly via this website: https://www.hampshire.police.uk/ and click on the REPORT button on the front page. This is only fact finding and privacy is always a priority.

In addition, having spoken at length with PCSO Liz Wallace, some parishioners may find it of use to register with Hampshire Alert, a free messaging service that allows Hampshire Constabulary, Neighbourhood Watch and other partner organisations keep you informed about issues in your area that are relevant to you. You can access this via the website www.hampshirealert.co.uk

The subject will be an item at our next Parish Council meeting on 24th January at 7.30 pm in the Church Rooms, however we would reiterate that the police have made it clear that Crondall Parish Council or any other Parish Council has no power or authority to directly intervene in these matters and while we remain supportive of parishioners and will remain in the loop, we would advise that you engage with the police and help lines as outlined above.
